Raymond Charles Emily, Jr., age 69, of Clearspring, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown.
Mr. Emily was a member of Clearspring Baptist Church.
Raymond was a general laborer for Seymour Housewares. He loved studying the Word of God, listening to Southern Gospel music, spending time with his family, and talking about his family. He also enjoyed putting puzzles together.
Born on April 7, 1953, in Seymour, he was the son of Raymond "Bud", Sr. and Jeanette Kilgas Emily, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sisters: Beverly Hanner of Fort Pierce, Florida, Linda McDaniel of Dinwiddie, Virginia, and Tressia Roberts of Crawfordsville; nieces and nephews: David Sawyers, Annette Sawyers, Brian Sawyers, Talessa Powell, Kerry Harbour, John McDaniel, Kyle McDaniel, Kelly Sulc, Krista Sturt, Lenae Anderson, Kristin Lough, and Jacob Roberts; and 22 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Emily was also preceded in death by three sisters: Karen Emily, Trudy Reynolds, and Ramona Sawyers; a nephew, Travis; and a great-nephew, Gage.
A graveside service for Raymond Charles Emily, Jr. will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Clearspring Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Sawyers officiating.
Memorials may be given to Clearspring Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
