Renold Paul Landon, age 93, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully late Sunday evening, December 28, 2025, at Hoosier Health & Living, Brownstown.
Mr. Landon was a faithful and dedicated member of Brownstown Church of the Nazarene for many years.
Ren spent many years working in construction and working in retail sales before beginning a career with the National Park Service in California, where he met his wife, Jo, in 1979. He later worked at Guadalupe State Park, Texas, and retired from Sequoia National Park in California.
Ren lived life to the fullest, and despite many years of dementia, his genuine personality, lively spirit, and benevolent nature never faded.
Family was of utmost importance to Ren, and he dearly loved his wife, especially enjoying traveling with her. He was an outdoorsman and hunter who also enjoyed woodworking, raising tropical fish, and collecting knives and boots.
Born on June 8, 1932, in Pawnee City, Nebraska, Ren was the son of Everett and Vida (Spence) Landon, both of whom preceded him in death. On December 15, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Brenda Joan Morrison, and she survives in Brownstown.
Ren was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, lovingly remembered by his many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Rosalie Kelley.
Besides his parents, Ren was also preceded in death by a son, Miles Landon; a sister, Donna Landon; and brother-in-law, Elmer Kelley.
Funeral services for Renold Paul Landon will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Brownstown Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Tim Lichtley officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Brownstown Church of the Nazarene.
Interment will follow at Guthrie Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Brownstown Church of the Nazarene or Hoosier Health & Living Auxiliary.
