Robert J. Kudner

Robert J. Kudner, age 86, Brownstown, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Robert was a member of the U.S. Navy. He retired from R. L. Polk Co., where he served as vice president. Born on December 25, 1925, in New York, he was the son of Frank A. and Jeanette Kerr Kudner, both of whom preceded him in death. On October 31, 1953, he married Chriss Sclavos, who preceded in death in 1977. Survivors include two daughters, Carol A. (David) Smith, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and Barbara M. (Michael) Tormoehlen, St. Paul, Minnesota; four grandchildren, David Smith, Andrew Smith, Kristen (Terry) Johnson and Carol Tormoehlen; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Johnson and Jalen Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one sister, Audrey Keegan. A memorial mass will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, with Father Dan Staublin officiating. A family memorial service will be held at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, at a later date. Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or St. Ambrose Catholic Church through Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
