Robert E. Stout, age 59, of Freetown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at I.U. Health, Indianapolis.
Mr. Stout was a member of the Seymour Harvest Church and was an engineer at Valeo Sylvania for 29 years. Mr. Stout loved his family and friends and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed storytelling and making people laugh.
Born on July 29, 1957, he was the son of Morris and Patricia Soladine Stout. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Freetown. On September 1, 1996 at Ratcliff Grove Christian Church, he married Shiela Jones Joseph and she survives in Freetown.
Survivors also include one daughter, Aimee (Phillip) Rigsby of Seymour; five brothers: James (Patricia) Stout of Freetown; Brian (Kristy) Stout and Otis (Rotha) Stout, both of Seymour; Todd (Michelle) Stout of Medora; and Jeremy (Charity) Stout of Brownstown; one sister, Joyce (John) Vogel of Seymour; and two grandchildren: Josiah Rigsby and Treyton Rigsby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Larry Robbins and Gary Dyer officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Smallwood Cemetery, Brownstown.
