Russell David "Bubba" Williams

Russell David "Bubba" Williams, age 60, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at The Waters of Scottsburg surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Williams was baptized at Honeytown Christian Church.
Russell spent more than 20 years working as a heavy machine operator at Broady Campbell, Inc. in Indianapolis before transitioning to a truck driver position with Premier Ag, where he worked for over ten years. He was a member of the Indiana Laborers Union and the International Union of Operating Engineers.
In his free time, Russell enjoyed spending time with friends, watching NASCAR, and supporting family and friends in 4-H. He also had a passion for tinkering. Known for his kind heart, Russell was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Born on March 6, 1964, in Seymour, Russell was the son of Ronald B. and Ona Mae (McKain) Williams, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Hayden Layne Williams (Ella Warfield) of Seymour; one daughter, Hannah Jayne Williams of Seymour; two brothers: Roger Williams of North Vernon, and Robert (Terra) Williams of Nashville; one sister, Rhonda Lambring (Rob Nicholson) of Seymour; nieces and nephews: Andrew Williams, Jon Williams (Miranda Bowling), Bailey (Joe) Beickman, Kendall Lambring, and Jadden (Ellie) Odom; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Grayson, Athena, Charlee, Archer, Shyla, Teagan, Sequoia, and Delilah.
Besides his parents, Russell was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Meade and Elva (Garlock) McKain, and Herbert G. and Helen (Stark) Williams.
Funeral services for Russell David "Bubba" Williams will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Mitchell McIntyre officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
