Shelton Ray Jones

Shelton Ray Jones, age 76, of Crothersville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Shelton enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, "Birdie." He was also a big fan of wrestling and horror films, as well as an admirer of Elvis Presley. Born on September 10, 1948, in McKinney, Texas, Shelton was the son of Shelton and Dorothy (Jones) Jones, both of whom preceded him in death. In Mesquite, Texas, he married Susan Yvonne Ross, and she preceded him in death on December 20, 2009. Survivors include one son, Randy Jones of Dallas, Texas; two daughters: Christina Mills of Seymour, and Tina Hood (Robert Bishop) of Crothersville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Jones of Plano, Texas. Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wendy Irwing; and one sister, Barbara Jones. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
