Thomas W. Norman, age 74, of Norman, passed away early Monday morning, October 12, 2026, at I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Norman attended Brownstown Christian Church and Norman Christian Church.

Tom began his career at Brownstown Alignment, where he worked alongside his father-in-law. This experience sparked his lifelong passion for racing. In the mid-1970s, he transitioned into the industrial field, where he continued to build his career at Harley Bag, later known as Union Camp, and eventually Columbus Container. He retired in 2017 from Columbus Container, where he worked as a designer.

Tom cherished his family and especially loved gathering with them for cookouts around the grill. He also enjoyed being involved with the Paul Crockett racing team, which reflected his lifelong passion for racing. An avid NASCAR fan, Tom loved watching races on television, as well as attending them in person. He also enjoyed cheering on I.U. basketball, mushroom hunting, gathering with family and friends around bonfires, and spending time hunting.

Born on March 9, 1952, in Seymour, Tom was the son of Marshall, Jr., and Norma Jean (Tabor) Norman, both of whom preceded him in death. Tom married Linda Riggle, and she preceded him in death on April 27, 1991.
